Think of the following tasks as a side hustle...Yes, you'll put in some time and effort. However, this sweat equity should help you win in the long run!
Tip #1-Get the most out of your long-term savings accounts.
Money such as your emergency fund or other reserves that you don't plan to invest will go into a savings account. Some research on sites such as Nerd Wallet can allow you to compare interest rates for reputable banks...just avoid the credit card comparisons :) Getting a higher savings account interest rate could net you hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year.
Tip #2-Insurance coverage should help with disasters, not create them.
As with inflation, home/auto/life insurance rates can skyrocket at a moment's notice. Insurify is an example that can provide options. Some insurance companies provide substantial discounts for paying a policy upfront, while others discount for bundles, safe driving, etc. If you do decide to switch, make sure that you know policy start/end dates, so you don't leave yourself uninsured or double-covered.
Tip #3-Know (and let the provider know) what your cell phone coverage needs truly are.
Some people use their phones 24/7. Others have a simpler routine of talk, text, and surf. What you do with your phone could impact how much (or little) coverage you actually need. See what your options are and don't be afraid to call the company if you feel the bill is getting out of control. Some cell phone providers will work with you and "magically" find discounts to keep you in their network. Bonus Tip-Go store brand over name brand at the grocery store.
It is no secret that store brands can keep dollars in your pocket. While some items may be worth the extra price, you likely would never be able to tell the difference between store-brand medicine, canned food, water, etc.
